Nutella Brownies!

Super delicious three ingredient Nutella brownies that are incredibly easy to make, with a little Ferrero Rocher on top! So good!
We all know I love a brownie recipe, and love something super chocolatey… so these three ingredient brownies topped with an extra little Ferrero Rocher is my favourite!
Brownies
I am obviously addicted to brownies, and after the fact that I accidentally bought a massive tub of Nutella (and by accident I mean purposely went to the shop to buy) into my basket, I knew I had some Nutella experiments to complete!
I love all of my brownie recipes, but my most popular is my chocolate orange brownies – and these definitely do come up there with how delicious they are. If you love Nutella then you will honestly love these – They are so easy to make, like literally they are a one bowl, make in 30 seconds or less mix that you can then just bung in the oven and bake. They couldn’t be any easier!
Nutella
My other Nutella recipes such as my Ferrero Rocher & Nutella no-bake cheesecake, my Nutella & Ferrero Rocher fudge and my Nutella cupcakes are always consistently popular on my blog week on week and I can understand why – they are based around Nutella after all – but if you want something that is even easier to make than those, then you should definitely make these.
I am by no means the person to have come up with this recipe, and I am not even sure who started it, but this is my version of the recipe. I noticed in some other recipes that they used an awkward amount of Nutella in my opinion, and I just wanted to be able to use the whole Jar – so this is my delicious version! Enjoy!
Three ingredients
The wonderful thing about brownies like this, is technically it’s only three ingredients to create them. If you add on the Ferrero Rocher then yes this recipe requires four ingredients, but they are completely optional, and I can personally never leave anything plain. I do wonder the science behind it, and how versatile this recipe could possibly be, but I am yet to experiment.
All you need to create something this beautiful is Nutella, flour, and eggs. That’s it. It’s INSANE that it works, and I guess its because of the consistency of the Nutella itself. Also, Nutella isn’t the healthiest of things so that takes care of the sugar part, and maybe its thickness and such is the butter part? Who knows.. either way its delicious.
Honestly all you have to do is whisk the ingredients together, and then bake. They’re not super fudgey or anything, and they’re not the nicest of brownies in the world, but they are SO incredibly easy its worth it. It makes it simpler that when you are craving something sweet, all you have to do is whisk these three ingredients together, bake and you’re done! No faffing about.
How long you bake them for can vary on the shape of your tin, but if you use a brownie tin (7×10″) I would bake them for about 18 minutes, and if you’re using a 8×8″ tin, maybe 22 minutes? It depends. The shorter the time, the gooier they will be!
Ferrero rocher
So as the brownies are so wonderfully only three ingredient, I felt like I could add an optional Ferrero Rocher to the top. Of course, this hasn’t really got anything to do with the brownie is totally optional – I just had a lot to use. You can also decorate with whatever else you really fancy if you wanted to – I push the Ferrero into the brownie as soon as it comes out of the oven, and then it cools down.
I have tried these with squishing a little bit of kinder bueno into the brownie, a chocolate button and so on – it’s up to you. Or again, leave it plain.
Tips & Tricks
- These brownies will last for 4-5 days once baked.
- When I first made this Nutella tubs were 400g, but that same size has been reduced to 350g… it’s still best with 400g!
- You can use large or medium eggs.
- You could squidge whatever you want into the top of the brownies, but you don’t need to bake them in.
Nutella Brownies!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180ºc/160ºfan and line an 8x8" square tin with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, add the nutella, eggs, and plain flour and mix thoroughly with a spatula.
- Try not to over mix it, but mix so its combined. An electric mixer is not necessary.
- Pour the mix into the tin, and bake the brownies for 20+ minutes, or until baked. The shorter, the gooier.
- Once out of the oven, quickly press in your Ferrero Rocher if you are using, and leave to cool fully.

Hi Jane,
I want to make these today but only have a 7x7cm tin. Would the quantities and cooking time be different? Thanks. 🙂
The recipe will be about half – But I have no idea on timings other than it being less!
These are so simple to make. I added some white
chocolate chips to my mix and topped it with Twirl
bites once baked. Absolutely squidgy and
delicious.
Super easy and delicious! These brownies were as easy to make as a mug cake. The result was delicious gooey Nutella brownies. Once cooled, I drizzled mine with good quality white chocolate and let it set. Perfect quick treat!

Hi Jane
If I halve the recipe and use a 7″ x 7″ tin, would you recommend using 1 large egg or 2? x
I would use 2 medium ideally x
I have made this so many times, so quick and easy!
But would it work with white chocolate spread?
It should do, but I haven’t tried it with white chocolate spread yet so I am not certain!
Hi I was just wondering what would the ingredients be if I used an aluminium foil tray that is 32cm x 20cm x 3.3cm ?
Many thanks 🙂

Hi,
Would this recipe work if I halved it to make 8 brownies? X
Hey! It can do – but you want to bake into a 7×7″ tin so that they’re not too thin! x
Would I be able to switch in gluten free flour?
That should be fine! Make sure not to over bake as they can go a little dry x
Not my favourite but nice and easy to make, takes about 10 minutes to make. Good for beginners.
Absolutely delicious! So easy as well! This has become my FAVOURITE recipe!
Would this work with any flavoured spread?i have a jar or chocolate mint spread that was gifted to me and not sure what to do with it!
I wouldn’t say it would work with every spread as some are a really different type *such as the bounty one* but its worth a try I guess?!
Well I’ve tried it and it seems to be ok(not made the Nutella version before so nothing to compare it to yet!). I’ll feed my colleagues tomorrow and get an answer from them they taste just like after eight mints!
[…] January, she posted this recipe for Nutella Brownies, and I jotted it down in my “recipes to try” folder because, come on, Nutella + […]
